St. John's College of Nursing ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION

St. Johns College of Nursing is a pioneer of nursing education and this metamorphism into present status of excellence took many years.
◦ In view of continuing this successful legacy , the Johnites of College of Nursing decided to bring together all ex students both far and near to serve the alma mater in a more meaningful way.
◦ Thus 14 th September 1998 became a red letter day in the history of College of Nursing as its saw the birth of St. Johns College of Nursing Alumnae Association which was officially inaugurated in the presence of 200 alumna members
At present We have GNM, BSc, PCM, MSC members in our association.

Aims & Objectives:◦ Establish and sustain a bond of abiding friendship and fellowship among the alumnae and towards their alma matter.
◦ To live and promote the objectives of their alma mater.
◦ To keep the alumnae infored of the current events and the developments of their alma mater.
◦ Instill in the minds of member and interest in professional development by conducting conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
◦ Assist meritorious and needy nursing students by offering scholarship or financial help.
◦ Raise funds for the activities of the association.
◦ Conduct annual meets, cultural events, programs, etcetera.
◦ Maintain communication with all alumnae.

Patrons 

The Director of the institution and the Principal of the College of Nursing shall be patrons of the association. The Executive Committee may invite hospital administrator, former Principals and Directors to be patron members of the association. The patron member shall be permanent invitee to all function of the association. The Patron Member shall advise the association and executive members in working towards the objectives of the association.  

Executive Committee 

Association shall have an executive committee consisting of the following members elected by the single majority at a general body meeting.  

  • - One President  
  • - One Vice President  
  • - One General Secretary  
  • - One Joint Secretary, Treasurer  
  • - Joint Treasurer  
  • - Member Incharge of academics along with co-opted members of academics  
  • - Member Incharge of cultural activities along with co-opted members of cultural activities.  
  • - Member Incharge of communication along with co-opted member of communication.  
  • - Immediate former President of the Association shall be an ex-officio member of the executive committee.  

- All elected posts to the Executive Committee shall be honorary Post.  

- The Executive Committee shall hold office from the date of its election for a period of 2 years.
