The cultural clubs provide students with diverse opportunities to explore and express their talents across performing and fine arts. From theatre, dance, literature, and music to visual arts, these clubs encourage creativity, self-expression, and skill development while fostering cultural appreciation and collaboration.
The club activities commenced from the month of February 2025 on Saturday afternoons. with the aim of encouraging students to explore and develop their creative talents. A total of five clubs are actively conducted with great interest and enthusiasm. Abhinaya focuses on theatre and dramatics, providing students with opportunities to express themselves through acting and stage performance. Nruthya, the dance club, promotes various dance forms and helps students enhance their rhythm, coordination, and expression. Sahithya, the literature club, nurtures a love for reading and writing through literary discussions, creative writing, and related activities. Raga, the music club, encourages students to explore vocal and instrumental music, fostering musical appreciation and skill development. Dharma, the art club, offers a platform for artistic expression through drawing, painting, and other visual arts.
All these clubs are conducted on alternate weekouts, ensuring regular engagement while allowing students to participate actively in multiple clubs based on their interests. Students from the B.Sc. Nursing and GNM batches actively participate in the club activities, contributing to a diverse and collaborative learning environment. Attendance is mandatorily recorded for all students who are present during the club sessions to ensure regular participation and accountability.
Each club is well organized with designated heads and sub-heads who are responsible for coordinating and managing the activities effectively. Every academic year, new student executives are selected for each club, providing leadership opportunities and encouraging responsibility among students. The students actively take initiative in planning, organizing, and executing various club activities, which helps in developing their leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
To further enhance learning and skill development, resource persons are invited periodically to guide the students and introduce them to new techniques and creative skills related to each club’s focus area.
