Culturals

The Sports Department of St. John’s College of Nursing is a vibrant and dynamic part of our institution, dedicated to promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and healthy competition. Through a wide range of sporting activities, we aim to nurture discipline, resilience, leadership, and a spirit of friendship and a healthy lifestyle among our students. The sports activities are looked after by  student sports rep along with the designated faculty

Key Activities and Events 

Outdoor Sports 

  • Volleyball:  
  • Throwball 
  • Kho kho 
  • Tennikoit 
  • Athletics: Track events include long-distance running, long jump, high jump, huddles and relay races and field events javelin, shotput and discuss. 

Indoor Sports 

Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom: Recreational yet competitive, carrom games bring students together in leisure and fun. 

Fitness and Wellness 

Yoga and Meditation:  It is conducted as part of leisure and spiritual activity for the interested students. 

Annual Sports Meet 

A much-anticipated event featuring track and field competitions, fun games, and team contests. 

Celebrates sportsmanship and encourages maximum participation across students and faculty. 

Throwball competition between TNAL Vs SNAI is a special event conducted every year in honour of the nurses’ week celebration. 

Inter-House and Inter-college Competitions 

These competitive platforms provide exposure, boost confidence, and highlight young talent. 

Coaching and Development 

Regular coaching camps conducted in select sports. 

Talent identification and mentoring for district and state-level competitions.

Facilities: 
Our campus features spacious courts and an indoor sports area to support regular practice and events. 

The Sports Department continues to grow as a hub of energy, discipline, and sportsmanship. We believe that encouraging students to participate in a wide range of physical activities is key to nurturing a balanced and confident individual.
