PAEDIATRIC NURSING SKILL LAB

PAEDIATRIC NURSING SKILL LAB

The Pediatric Skill Lab is a dedicated learning space equipped to enhance the practical skills of nursing students in child care. The lab is well-stocked with various models, mannequins, flashcards, charts, and educational posters that provide a supportive environment for hands-on learning. The lab features:

  • Mannequins for Pediatric  Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and infant choking management.
  • Procedure-based equipment for child care practices such as medication administration, colostomy care, IV injections, sample collection, Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), and oxygen therapy.
  • Play therapy items to support child-friendly care and learning.

Nursing students from B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, and M.Sc. Nursing regularly use the skill lab for demonstrations and skill practice. The lab provides opportunities for students to upgrade and refine their clinical skills in a safe, supervised setting before performing them in real clinical areas.
