The B.Sc. Renal Dialysis Technology program at St. John’s Medical College focuses on training students in the care and management of patients with acute and chronic renal failure requiring dialysis therapy.

Students are trained in hemodialysis procedures, dialysis machine operation, renal physiology, patient monitoring, and infection control measures. Clinical exposure in dialysis units and nephrology departments enables students to develop hands-on skills in managing critically ill and long-term renal patients.

The program aims to produce compassionate and technically competent dialysis technologists who play a vital role in improving the quality of life of patients with kidney diseases.

The Allied Health Sciences course offered by St. John’s Medical College (SJMC) is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Scope:
• Work as dialysis technician in the Dialysis Unit of hospital establishments,
• Can establish independent dialysis unit under the supervision of physician, excellent job opportunities overseas.
• With master’s degree students can take up teaching as their career
• Can work in various companies related to dialysis equipment’s.
