Department of Clinical Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplant St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru

Introduction

The Department of Clinical Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant began at St. John’s in March 1990.  It became a separate department  in May 2022 Today, it stands as a center of excellence in patient care, research, and academic leadership, offering advanced treatments for complex blood disorders and training the next generation of haematologists.

  • Faculty: 5 core faculty + adjunct professors
  • All types of  Stem Cell Transplants:  : Both Autologous and Allogenic, Haploidentical and MUD, CAR-T Cell therapy
  • Hemophilia Patients Supported: 715+ through WFH Humanitarian Aid Program
  • Funds Raised (2022–23): ₹800 Lakhs for patient care and research.
  • Publications: 100+ peer‑reviewed papers in leading journals
