Reducing AIDS stigma among healthcare professionals in South India (in medical students)
Project Description
The study is an extension/amendment to a parent NIH- funded R01 grant titled ‘Reducing AIDS stigma among healthcare professionals in South India’ and covers medical students from St. John’s Medical College. It plans to evaluate the impact of a culturally-specific stigma reduction intervention in medical students of SJMC. This stigma reduction intervention was developed in India by the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) for Indian health professionals. The ICRW intervention modules are being adapted to be partly computer-delivered in order to increase the likelihood of a sustained impact.
