Project Description
To generate unequivocal data on whether supplementing with 2000IU/d vitamin D3 from early pregnancy till birth enables the mother to reach sufficiency in circulating vitamin D levels and if this translates to improvement in accepted markers of immune function in the new-born, compared to babies born to mothers supplemented with conventional 500IU/d vitamin D3.
