Project Description
Indian children face a hidden double burden of malnutrition, where early undernutrition coexists with rising adiposity and future NCD risk. This project examines whether metabolic risk is programmed in the first 1000 days through genetic and dietary influences on fat accumulation, and develops AI-enabled, point-of-care body fat monitoring with lifestyle guidance to prevent NCDs in school-age children.
