Demonstrating non-inferiority of a lower dose (500 mg) calcium supplementation during pregnancy for reducing preeclampsia (PE) and neonatal outcomes
Project Description
The trials provided causal evidence on the non-inferiority of low-dose supplementation compared with standard high-dose regimens in India and Tanzania. A single-tablet, low-dose calcium supplementation regimen improved individual-level adherence, reduced programmatic costs, and supported broader implementation of routine calcium supplementation during pregnancy in populations with low dietary calcium intake
