As a Senior Lab Technologist, I am actively involved in performing molecular laboratory work and histopathological analysis of cancer tissues. My responsibilities include processing and analysis of clinical specimens, coordinating data collection, and maintaining systematic follow-up of patient records to support research and clinical studies. I work closely with clinicians and researchers to ensure accuracy, quality control, and compliance with laboratory and ethical standards, contributing to reliable diagnostic and research outcomes.
Qualification/ Education
B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, St.Johns Medical College, Bangalore
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Gowtham Paramedical Collge, Bangalore
Experience
Junior Lab Technician – Blood Bank
St. John’s Medical College & Hospital | 2012
I began my laboratory career as a Junior Lab Technician in the Blood Bank at St. John’s Medical College and Hospital in 2012, where I was involved in the collection, screening, and processing of blood from donors. My responsibilities included donor screening, blood grouping, compatibility testing, proper storage of blood components, and releasing blood to appropriate patients in compliance with institutional safety and regulatory guidelines.
Senior Lab Technician – Molecular Medicine
St. John’s Medical College & Hospital | 2013–Present
Since 2013, I have been working as a Senior Lab Technician in Molecular Medicine, where I am actively involved in the processing and molecular analysis of clinical specimens for translational research and clinical studies. My role includes coordinating clinical data collection, maintaining systematic follow-up of patient records, and collaborating closely with clinicians and researchers to ensure data accuracy, quality control, and ethical handling of human samples. I work closely with clinicians, pathologists, and research teams to support study workflows while adhering to quality control measures, biosafety standards, and ethical guidelines for handling human samples.
Areas of interest
Having been actively involved in cancer research, I have developed a strong interest in histopathology and its integration with molecular and translational studies. I am particularly interested in gaining in-depth expertise in histopathological techniques and continuously updating my skills with emerging technologies in this field. This includes learning and applying digital pathology tools and image analysis software such as QuPath for quantitative tissue analysis, as well as understanding and implementing multiplex immunohistochemistry to evaluate multiple biomarkers within the tumor microenvironment. By integrating histopathology, advanced imaging, and molecular data, I aim to strengthen translational insights and contribute to more precise biomarker assessment in cancer research.
Field of Expertise
My expertise includes histopathological analysis of cancer tissues and immunohistochemistry–based biomarker evaluation, supported by strong experience in molecular laboratory techniques. I am actively involved in clinical specimen processing, systemati
