I am a public health nutrition researcher with training in food and nutrition sciences and experience spanning clinical research, community nutrition, and public health programmes. I hold an MSc in Food and Nutrition from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, and a BSc (Hons) in Home Science from the Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi. My academic and professional interests focus on maternal and child nutrition, vitamin D, diet optimization, and nutrition within public health systems.
I am currently pursuing a PhD at the Division of Nutrition, St. John’s Research Institute, doctoral research titled “Impact of Different Doses of Vitamin D Supplementation during pregnancy on Preterm Births in South India: A Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial.” I have contributed to peer-reviewed research, including a publication in Current Developments in Nutrition, and has presented my doctoral research protocol at the Nutrition Society of India annual conference. Professionally, I worked as a Nutritionist at St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore, contributing to WHO-supported research through SOP development, fieldworker training, recipe standardization, and reviews of the ICDS programme. Iam a recipient of the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (now promoted to Senior Research Fellow) and I am committed to translating nutrition research into practice to improve population health outcomes.
