Dr. Annie Alexander, a psychologist and psycho-oncology researcher, focuses on enhancing the psychological well-being of women with breast cancer, especially in low- and middle-income countries. She emphasizes resilience as a key factor in reducing distress, improving treatment adherence, and fostering post-traumatic growth.

Dr. Alexander has developed a culturally sensitive Resilience-Based Intervention tailored to the unique needs of South Indian women with breast cancer. With extensive experience in qualitative research, longitudinal studies, and cohort management, she ensures high participant retention and integrates psychosocial care with clinical follow-ups. Her research employs mixed-methods to assess the feasibility and acceptability of psycho-oncological interventions. She aims to advance holistic cancer care, prioritizing emotional and psychological well-being alongside medical treatment.
