After completing post-graduation in Community Medicine, I worked for 4 years in medical colleges, teaching and training both MBBS and MD Community Medicine students. As a community physician, apart from academic responsibilities, I have been involved in multiple community-based research projects funded by various organizations (like BIRAC, Dept of Biotechnology, GoI; Human Vaccine LLC, Russia and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, India; ICMR and Tamil Nadu Health System Reform Program). I have more than 10 research publications in various national and international indexed journals. My areas of interest are Maternal and Child Health, Non-Communicable Diseases and Health Systems Management.
