Senior Technician

I have been working as a Senior Technician at St. John’s Research Institute, where I provide laboratory support for biomedical and translational research. In this role, I handle and process clinical samples, perform routine and specialized histopathology related laboratory procedures, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation while ensuring strict adherence to quality control and biosafety standards. I work closely with researchers, pathologists, and clinicians to support ongoing research projects and contribute to the efficient and reliable functioning of laboratory operations.

I began my laboratory career at Pooja Diagnostics, where I was involved in routine diagnostic laboratory work, including sample collection, processing, basic laboratory testing, and record maintenance. I supported daily laboratory operations and gained foundational experience in clinical laboratory practices, patient interaction, and laboratory workflow management.

Areas of interest

With extensive experience in diagnostic laboratory services and histopathology, I am keen to further expand my expertise by adopting advanced techniques in histopathology. I am particularly interested in the analysis of histopathological slides using digital pathology platforms such as QuPath, enabling quantitative and high-throughput tissue analysis. In addition, I am eager to gain hands-on experience with multiplex immunohistochemistry, including protocol optimization and the simultaneous analysis of multiple biomarkers within a single tissue section. By integrating traditional histopathology with digital and multiplex approaches, I aim to enhance the depth and precision of tissue-based biomarker assessment in translational cancer research.

I am a trained histopathology technician with expertise in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, histological staining, tissue microarray (TMA) construction, digital slide scanning, biorepository maintenance and data collection.
