Pelvic Lipomatosis is a rare, benign, and chronic condition characterized by the excessive, non-encapsulated overgrowth of normal mature adipose tissue within the pelvis. It predominantly affects males aged 25–65, causing compression of pelvic organs, specifically the bladder and rectum.

Key aspects of the condition include:

  • Symptoms: Commonly presents with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), urinary frequency, urgency, dysuria, hematuria, constipation, and occasionally lower extremity edema.
  • Imaging Findings: Diagnosis is typically confirmed via CT scan or MRI, which reveal abundant pelvic fat, a "pear-shaped" or elevated bladder, and median displacement of the ureters (often causing hydronephrosis).
  • Complications: If left untreated, it can lead to chronic renal failure due to long-term obstruction.
