Elderly individuals with psychiatric illnesses often require long-term follow-up care
to manage their conditions effectively. However, adherence to follow-up
appointments can be inconsistent, influenced by multiple factors such as
socio-demographic characteristics, illness severity, cognitive impairment, and
access to healthcare services. Understanding the patterns and determinants of
follow-up adherence in this population is crucial for optimising mental health care
and improving patient outcomes.
Primary
1. To estimate the prevalence of follow up rate in elderly with psychiatric illness.
2. To determine the association of follow up pattern with socio demographic profile and nature
of psychiatric illness in elderly.
Secondary
1.To study the factors associated with poor follow up patterns
