Project Description

The most common causes of CKD in children are congenital anomalies of the kidneys and urinary tract (CAKUT), followed by glomerular and systemic immunological diseases (1). Globally, the prevalence of CKD stage 2 or higher in children ranges between 29.8 and 90.0 per million children. The annual incidence in European countries ranges from 8.7 to 17.5 cases per million (2).
