The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at St John’s is known for being one of the best high risk pregnancy units in Karnataka. At John’s we strive to deliver high quality compassionate care, using an evidence-based approach.

Our services cater to a wide spectrum of women’s health starting from adolescent care to menopause and beyond. We take pride in covering the gamut of our specialty from routine antenatal care to high-risk pregnancy, variety of abdominal and vaginal surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries and pelvic floor disorders. Additionally, we focus on community health and take part actively in multiple outreach programmes to make a difference in women’s health.

Our vision is to advocate high standard of health care to women through a personalized clinical approach and empower her to make healthy choices at all ages.

We have a strong and diverse medical education programme for our students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) and interns, with a hands-on approach to learning by doing and we encourage an extensive array of clinical research programme.

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department started in the year 1966 with Dr. D M Satur as Head of the department.
